The Torn Highway

The way to get to the seal...one way in one way out. Still after so many years...many darkings and Teenage Fel's roam here.

Cassandra was sick from the jump...Rolega was already blowing chunks on the ground...They both looked at Nergal with mean faces....they were not feeling so good after that little jump....

"Okay....*urk*....at least we are closer...."

And Cafal flapped his wings, and he looked at Cassandra."I remember when this way wasent as torn as it is now".He said sadly, and Nergal patted his wings, there now Cafal." It will all end soon I hope, so you can se the real Honorus Fel´s again, the one we realy fear, but dont kill our children in their sleep". Cafal smiled."The truth is, we are as scared of you, as you are of us, but I see now we and you have nothing to fear, from each other".

Cassandra gave a short nod at Cafal and gave a small rub to his head.
"That good to hear. But then...what really started all of this....I remember how this place was myself from those years....but ever since the war broke this place was left in shambles. There have been attempts to drive the drakings out...but every time we were successful more appear in our cities than ever before."
Cassandra scanned the desolate area in which used to look like a beautiful green and colorful area. Rolega did the same remembering how things used to be....both giving small sighs of grief.
"Well whatever...whats past is past now...."
Cassandra at first looked at Nergal and Cafal with sad looks but made a smile.
"Lets go...we need to hurry and try to reseal the seal again..."
Cassandra was terrified in reality as well as Rolega....they both have very vivid memories of the fight that took place there....

And Cafal looked at her, and smiled."I am still so young mom, so I dont realy know, but if you ask our elders, them who are more than 60.000 years old, and older Fel´s, then you´ll know the answer, but I realy dont know Cassandra, I am no more than 2400 years myself".He said and sighted.

Cassandra gave a small giggle to Cafal.
"Then you are still young..I am 10 times your age....So...Nergal...are you ready to go? You have not said much latley..is everything okay?"

"Yeah, I am just thinking thats all".He looked at her."What will happen to Cafal, when we seal the seal again".He looked at Cafal with conserned eyes." I dont want to loose him".

Cassandra did not think of that....but she also did not think that resealing th seal would lock Cafal back up. He was from the light side of the Fel's. But as a precaution....Cassandra reached out her right hand to Cafal.
"Please take my hand..."

And Cafal took her hand, with one of his talons, and smiled at her.

Cassandra gave a small giggle...but then closed her eyes.....in the base over her palm a small blood from herself began to lift from her.....and then she let some of it go into the claw Cafal lent her. It was draining and sickening....but in the end, Cassandra made a small seal in her palm..

"As long as i have this on me. You will be part of me. It is a way to keep a bond between us. I believe Nergal did the same for me when I tried to let his parents free. I gained some knowledge from that..."
Cassandra gave a kiss to Nergal's cheek as a sign of past thanks.

And Nergal looked at her, and blushed."Mom".He said shyly." Shall we get going, or shall we stand here and kiss each other all day".He giggled nervously.

Cassandra gave a short giggle and rubbed his face..
"Yeah lets get moving. Rolega are you ready?"
Rolega gave a short nod.
"Yes I am. I am just getting a little bit tired."
Cassandra with a grin went to Rolega turned her back to her and Rolega jumped on Cassandra's back...like a piggy back. Rolega almost when right to sleep after she was in position.
Cassandra then began to walk to a long column of white smoke that was very far in the distance....she gave a yawn herself...the jump still did not agree with her.
"Umm Nergal are you comfortable about going halfway today and going the rest tomorrow...I dont think I can make it....well not in this form"

"That is ok with me, what is that big smoke collum over there".He asked and pointed towards it, he dident know exatly how to place it.

Cassandra with a smile looked at the smoke and gave a yawn.
"It is a signal fire. The armies place those there to let others know they are there....it is good to use when you are lost as well. But I do see how big it has gotten....I guess supplies are low."

Cassandra stopped to give to give a small cough...

"So do we stop there, or what Cassandra".He looked at her and smiled.

Cassandra shook her head and smiled.
"No...that is actually alot farther than you think. The smoke trail it very thick...but the base is actually behind those hills."
She pointed at the hills miles away....and the smoke rose behind them.

"Even if we reached the hills today...we have to cover 10 more miles to reach the camp."

And he looked at her."Were do we stop then hm".He looked at her, and smiled, and looked at a good site to camp right before them."Here would be an good place mom, dont you think".

Cassandra gave a small smile at him as well as a nod.
"Perfect."
Rolega was now out like a candle....and her head rested on Cassandra's shoulder. So..Cassandra placed Rolega on the ground as easily as possible. Rolega woke up a little and opened her eyes...
"We there.?"
Cassandra shook her head.
"No not yet....but we will get there tomorrow...You rest up. You still look a little sick from the jump."
Rolega gave a nod and closed her eyes with a smile on her lips.
Cassandra then patted Rolega's side and stood turning to Nergal with a smile.
"I guess I will start a fire. And try to find something to cover Rolega with....what do you want to do?"

"set up camp ofcurse, Cafal I know your good at this, do a camp".And by magic he had a camp standing, but it was one of the Fell´s standard camps, a small one.

Cassandra looked around to see the small tents and a small rock fire...well the fire was not there yet...she needed to find some dry wood. So again lifted Rolega and moved her into one of the tents....and left to go into the small woods not to far from where they were....all of the trees were dryer than salt. So Cassandra could easily start a fire...as well as cut the trees down....She simply had to force some of the thin trees over and took the branches. She came back with an armfull of logs and dry twigs...

After she set the small twigs down...she began to use her magic to start the flame. The twigs lit up very fast...to fast. Cassandra was alittle close to it. So she felt the sudden flash of heat....it did not burn her...it just hurt her a little. But she had a fire now...she then stood and looked at Nergal with a small smile.

"Want to help me hunt for food today? Since you are a wolf you have a better nose than I do."

And Nergal smiled." I took this with me Cassandra, the big lump of spiced meet, as Malty is elergic so, I took it with, me funny you dident smell it".And he saw that Cafal beek was watering.

Cassandra looked at the lump of meat and gave a warm smile at him.
"Well...I guess MAlty is not going to be upset about you taking it. *Giggle*.....well lets place it over the fire...It seems that your little friend there is losing his mind over it."

yeah, he bumped the raven´s head." Wake up, no daydreaming". Giggled Nergal, Cafal flew down, and gave Nergal rear a hard wack, with his wing, and Nergal eiped ,and jumped up, rubbing his rear."That hurt". He pushed his lips out.

Cassandra only laughed at the scene while she walked to grab the slab of meat from Nergal.
"I guess you have your own little disciplinary tool."
She again gave a small giggle....just the thought of it made her mind laugh out loud as Hellfire gawked. Nightrain found her way back into Cassandra and did the same looking at him.
Fel....said and did nothing...but he was laughing at something else....it was Cassandra....since she was a vixen...she still was feeling the spring need....and she hated every moment of it.

But she extended her hands to the slab of meat waiting for him to either give it to her or cook it himself.

And Cafal looked at Nergal."Better be a good boy when I am in this form then, or you get another swat".
